This piece is the first in a series of hybrid works on paper. French paper is very forgiving and takes a lot of drawing a printing. I used Lithography (hand pulled printing) and CNC drawing with a Farber pen, for those wondering.
The sequential drawing in this particular piece combines hand drawing from my sketchbook and mapping to conquered the "new world" in 1492.

The studio o "Taller" is shaping up. It is a privilege to be able to display single pieces side by side and start seeing the connections. They are free from flat file darkness! The studio is located in the Studios Inc. in Kansas City, MO. USA o EEUUAA (Spanish abbreviation for USA)

Drawings 2015

2015, Summer series.
This is a sample from last year graphic experiments. I am transitioning from pure drawing works on paper towards mono-prints that use drawing as stating compositions. This drawing is reminiscent of the idea of the spectacle of public religious events in Mexico. I am not looking for representation of these apparent barbaric acts but I drawing that resembles the feeling of anxiety and pathos from such vouyeristic experiences.

Landfall Press 2014

These are snap shots of my visit to Landsfall Press in Santa Fe, NM. Jack Lemon, Steve Campbell Chris Campbell, Caitlin Peters and Daiana Oneto work like a swiss watch in this shop. I think I was able to see my own reflection on the floor. It was a great place to work in and the best atmosphere for anyone wanting to make prints. It doesn't get better than this. Watch the videos too!

Visiting Print studios in Oaxaca.

Thanks to Marietta Bernstorff for taking me around Oaxaca to see and visit people who love their work. I went to "Linotipografica Quintas" or a Lettepress shop that has been operating in Oaxaca since 1957. They work with Litho offset and other commercial processes to keep up with the times but its founder love still resides in letterpress

This is Taller Colectivo Tamayo or a Community studio where anybody can learn Lithography, Etching, Painting and Sculpture
